Before we headed off to the embassy, Dira, Riga and I spent a couple
of hours at KLCC. We were there to watch Puteri Gunung Ledang.

After quenching our consumerism thirst, we left the mall and walked
down Jalan Tun Abdul Razak where the Indonesian embassy was located.

As we entered the Indonesian Embassy compound in Kuala Lumpur...

Malaysian police force guarded the outside perimeters of the embassy...

... while their Indonesian colleagues held up the fort at the entrance.

The sight of the majestic entrance ...

... and embassy emblem greeted us.

"Know thy presidential candidates and their agendas before voting."

"Papaku mau nyoblos," these innocent young eyes said to me.

A woman slips her Indonesian identity card (I.C.), Kartu Tanda Penduduk (Ka-Te-Pe)
out of her wallet for reference as she registers to nyoblos (vote).

You must bring your letter of registration proof and voting card to proceed.

The mighty ballot paper. Incumbent president Megawati contends her ex-minister, Yudhoyono.

Voting booths. People came out as quickly as they went in.

There's no turning back! Dira drops her ballot in.

At last, I get to meet the infamous bottle of ink...

Folks who have voted must dip one finger into the ink bottle to mark themselves.

"Tisu, mbak?"

The ink supposedly stays on for a few days. In worst case scenarios, it has been known to stay on for months.

With our conscience cleared that we had done our part in exercising
Indonesia's democracy, we bade farewell to the embassy.
