In her past album covers and public appearances, Kris Dayanti had always adorned long hair.

KD's new hairstyle makes her look far younger and hipper. I ogled silently in her dressing room.

Why the change in image, I questioned, admiring her durian-like hair texture.

"Sebetulnya rambut saya jadi begini karena accident!" this petite Javanese lady joked."My hair was getting damaged from the rapid usage of wigs during my shows. I got frustrated in the end that I just decided to cut it short!"

"Besides," she added with a smile set to kill, "I think it's a refreshing look for me."
