It's exciting when complete strangers write me to inform me of Indonesian-related events happening here in Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur. I recently received an email from, presumably, the organizer of an upcoming Indonesian tourism fair, apparently the first of its kind. If you have some time during the long weekend, do pay the fair a visit, lots of goodies in store! Here are the details:

INDONESIA CONSUMER FAIR 2004 in conjunction with the inaugural INDONESIA TOURISM 2004

Date: 29 April – 03 May 2004
Venue: Hall 1 Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Mid Valley Mega Mall, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Opening hours: 10am – 9pm daily (Trade & Public)
FREE ADMISSION.

The Consumer Fair will be displaying/selling garments, Muslim garments, batik, fashion accessories, antiques, handicrafts arts & crafts, giftware embroidery, household products food & beverage, furniture and many more.

The Indonesia Tourism 2004 is the First Ever Tourism Exhibition to be held outside Indonesia which will be featuring tourists spots in Indonesia from some of the provinces, travel agents, spa & resorts, transportation and many more.

The first two days is for Trade Buyers, Corporations, MNCs, Educational Institutes, Expatriates living in Malaysia and the public. The next three days is open to the public.

There will be cultural dances daily.
